About our Company

ROTO-ROOTER Service was begun in Central New York by Daniel Manser Sr in 1947. Living in Oneida NY he started his own plumbing business after serving during WWII and being honorably discharged as a Master Plumber from the United States Navy. Soon after the start of his business, his son, Daniel Manser Jr, then recently honorably discharged from the United States Navy after serving during WWII, joined his father. Localized ROTO-ROOTER franchises were grown into the three-county franchise that is now operated by the third generation.

We provide a full range of quality plumbing and sewer-drain maintenance services to residential, commercial, municipal and industrial customers. Since stoppages and back-ups do not care what time of day it is, our services are available at no additional charge during evening hours and on Saturdays. Our emergency services are available for Sundays and Holidays as well.

The way we do business

Mission Statement:

We pledge to provide customer service that will do nothing less than meet our customer’s needs and promote customer satisfaction without sacrificing, yet always stressing, integrity; an ethical, a moral and honest means to accomplish this end.

Business Philosophy

The management of this organization recognizes that the true ownership of this organization is Almighty God, Maker of heaven and earth. Management operates daily on the premise that, under His guidance, this business prospers through His blessings and abundance grace. Through this recognition it is the desire of this organization to create continual growth that will provide all employees a good, decent lifestyle and a means to prosper. Growth that will inevitably provide a means (source) of retirement for all employees that have been dedicated to contributing to the stability of this organization as it meets the varying needs and changes of an ever-changing market place. Stimulate growth and diversification into new market areas to meet the ever-increasing needs of our customers.

Through our dedication to our Mission Statement we recognize the following good practices of business:

  1. The Customer is the most important person in our business.

  2. The Customer is not dependent on us - we are dependent on him or her.

  3.  The Customer is not an interruption of our work - he or she is the purpose of it.

  4. The Customer does us a favor by calling us - he or she has a choice in selecting whom they want to do business with and we are honored when we are chosen.

  5. A Customer is deserving of the most courteous and attentive treatment we can give

Every customer deserves the process of “The Next Step” towards the complete remedy of any plumbing or sewer-drain problem. That whatever additional service(s) is (are) required or necessary to ensure the continuing operation of the utility or drain will be offered to the customer.

Management Philosophy

We will extend to each employee the opportunity to contribute to the growth, stability and future of this organization by establishing a link to management that will promote the free and unhindered expression of constructive ideas regardless of their application. We will continue the opportunity of each employee to contribute to the growth, stability and future of this organization by supporting all efforts of each employee to increase their value and worth within this organization through education directed towards learning or increasing the skills necessary to provide the services that this organization currently provides or plans on providing in the future to its customers. This organization will pursue with each employee the self-initiated means of making themselves better.

We will create, implement, maintain and upgrade a chain-of-command that provides stable leadership by example without question of responsibility. A chain-of-command that encourages constructive input from all employees, regardless of tenure or position, and peer-leadership causing various viewpoints, considered or not, to be used in the decision making processes effecting our employees. It is expected that such counsel will strengthen the leaders of this organization receiving such constructive input and their integrity and strength will not be diminished.

We will create and promote a team-based organization in which all employees, management included, are members. Each member of this team will be treated with dignity and respect. As a team member all employees will have the responsibility in helping attain and maintain the Mission Statement, Business Philosophy and Management Philosophy of this organization. We strongly believe that no one individual has all the answers, but through the abilities and expertise within each employee all obstacles will be overcome.
